About Margaret O'Riordan
Originally from Ireland, I grew up surrounded by stories of adventure and opportunity, which kindled my passion for the stage. After graduating from University College Dublin, I embarked on a career in finance, living in London and Paris.
Over 20 years in the City, my roles included fund manager, private equity professional, investment banker and financial trainer. To pursue my interest in empowering others, I started a drama school and began my journey as a business coach and mentor.
I appreciate the opportunities and demands of working in blue-chip organisations. Working in diverse cultures and languages has taught me about adapting to new environments and managing communication challenges.
The Cape flower on my homepage symbolises our vast potential to adapt and thrive individually and collectively. The Grootbos Foundation in South Africa is a wonderful example of understanding the context, collaborating and communicating effectively. Its purpose is to conserve the Cape floral kingdom and foster sustainable livelihoods in the region - the natural beauty is sustained when the community embraces the values and thrives alongside.
